Bovine aortic endothelium. Derived from the aorta of a Friesian cow. Cells form sprouts after confluence. Infected with Bovine Viral Diarrhoea Virus (BVDV) which is a common contaminant of ruminants and is non-hazardous to humans. Secretes proteoglycans.
