Leukemic cells from a patient with B-prolymphocytic leukemia were immortalized in vitro with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) in the presence of phorbol-ester, TPA. JVM-2 is characterized cytogenetically by t(11;14)(Q13; Q32).
