Neural stem cells (NSCs) are self-renewing, multipotent cells that generate the main phenotype of the nervous system. They primarily differentiate into neurons, astrocytes, and oligodendrocytes [1]. The recent discovery of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) not only overcomes the ethical and logistical issues associated with human embryonic stem cells, but also provides a flexible platform for generating various differentiated cell types from diseased individuals. iPSC-derived NSCs are a potentially valuable source of in vitro models for complex, polygenic human diseases, and are potentially useful for drug discovery and cell-based therapy applications.AcceGen provides high quality human NSCs derived from normal or diseased iPS cell lines.
